An updated version of xFarDic multilingual dictionary is available now. Highlights: fixed a bug causing unusual CPU usage in the watcher function, fixed a bug causing loosing the recent leitner box changes on application crashes or so, fixed an old bug preventing translation of words containing space from the leitner box, make the scanner system to use a variable located in memory rather than in the config file and several code clean-ups and minor improvements. A brand new version of xFarDic multilingual dictionary is available now. This version makes huge improvements to the preferences window. Highlights: Restructured preferences window, additional speech controls like pitch, volume, speed and pitch range, highly improved swap file creation speed, improved the leitner box data load method, improved configuration and build scripts, uses en-rhotic as American speech accent and fixed two minor glitches. xFarDic 0.8.0 Released

After several months of development, we are proud to announce that a brand new version of xFarDic multilingual dictionary is available. Due to increased quantity of used libraries, it's not possible to build a static package for all distributions anymore. So, interested users can contribute their packages to the project. Beside of fixing few old bugs, a new word scanning system is implemented. Thanks to it, it's enough to double click on the word you want to see it's translation. Then xFarDic will show result in a notification window. xFarDic now can auto-load xdb word databases from user's home, /usr/share/xfardic-xdb/ and /usr/local/share/xfardic-xdb/ paths. Other changes: icons are integrated with GNOME icons, improved auto-translation system, improved source code structure and make files, it's not possible to run more than a copy of xFarDic at the same time and a new logo and splash screen. We celebrate 2nd anniversary of xFarDic project with xFarDic 0.7.5. Most important changes are: improved auto-translation system using aspell, renamed 'Exit' menu to 'Quit' for better GNOME compatibility, fixed bugs: locale init, clipboard translation system and fa_IR translation. Probably this is the last patch release for 0.7 series, and we will begin to develop xFarDic 0.8 series. It's suitable time to send your feature requests.
